Happy Ducks Childminding

Children learn when they are in a safe and caring environment while they are stimulated through play. I follow the EYFS guidelines and plan our days around a monthly themed topic, taking into consideration children's interests and developmental stages. Some activities will be adult led and others child initiated. All children regardless of their abilities will be included in each task.

Your child will have a personal profile with observations, photographs and examples of their work and an individual learning plan based around the 7 areas of learning "The Early Learning Goals". I try to ensure that each child has access to any activities and equipment enabling them to acquire new skills and reinforce their learning through a play environment.

I work Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm but could be flexible if necessary. My fees include home cooked nutritious meals and snacks, special diets catered for on request. I try to offer regular outings to the park, to the beach and toddler groups to enable children to mix with larger groups. I provide a creative, happy and enjoyable learning environment, offering a wide range of activities to develop and meet children's interests and needs, whilst meeting the national framework guidelines. I provide a daily diary and learning journey for each child.

The most satisfying part of my job is when the children aren't ready to go home at the end of the day!

Every month we look at a new theme, this month it is Nursery Rhymes and Favourite fairy tales we have done lots of singing and looking at different fairy tales, acting out as parts of the stories, collage crafts of figures from the nursery rhymes, baking of the gingerbread man. Every month I try to take one theme and cover each of the 7 key learning areas. And I send a newsletter to all of the parents to show them what the children have been doing and how much fun we have had.

£5.00 per hour
£6.50 hourly rate for before and after school care
I accept childcare vouchers on request
